Greater Rain Community Church is a Spirit filled, Bible preaching church in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, where Jesus Christ is honored and people gather from many different roads to seek Him together.

In a noisy and unstable world, and in an area where many have been beaten, battered, and torn by life…this Holy House stands as an anchor of hope when storms hit and a harbor of peace (even in the midst of turmoil), for every soul that needs a real touch from God.

More than just some kind of catch phrase, that line is truth that we have witnessed since the doors of the church opened in June 2011.

We have watched God reach addicts, church kids, skeptics, broken families, and quiet, hurting people who thought they were finished with church, and we have watched Him do what no program ever could.

GOD MADE YOU ON PURPOSE, FOR A PURPOSE

Let us be very clear, you do not have to dress a certain way to come be in the house of God with us…and your history, your story, your past does not disqualify you from joining us in service. You will find mercy here and a church family that actually cares if you make it.
You will hear truth in this pulpit and see grace, mercy, and love lived both in and out of this Holy House.

WHO WE ARE

Greater Rain is a Spirit-filled community of believers that loves Jesus, that embraces the fullness of God’s Word, that believes in praising, worshipping, laying on of hands, and embracing the undiluted preaching of God’s Word. We are a praying church, a fasting church, a teaching church, and a reaching church. We believe in wearing out those altars and taking everything to the Lord in prayer.

COME AND SEE, GO AND SERVE

As a church, we gather to seek the Lord together, then we scatter through this region to carry His love into homes, workplaces, schools, and “marketplaces”. We believe every born again believer has a place in the body of Christ and a part in what the Lord is doing in this town, county, surrounding counties, and region. From prayer meetings to outreach, from children’s church to the drama team to the media/tech, we want every gift and every calling being active, and every person’s hand on the plow and engaged in the work of the Lord.

THE STORIES GOD IS WRITING HERE

Every person who comes through those doors all have a different story. Some are broken and in the middle of healing. Others are strong in the faith and reaching out to help someone else along the way.

In all of this, Greater Rain is a living church for a dying world, connecting souls to the life changing presence of Jesus Christ. In these dynamic services where the Spirit of God has control, we watch God move throughout each and every service. Even during the preaching of God’s Word, we watch the Lord deal with hearts in ways no human ever could. We see people healed, saved, delivered, set free, and people who come in weak, hurt, confused get the help they need and experience new strength that only the Lord could give them.

You can come as you are and sit near the back or make your way right on up towards the front rows. Just come expecting, and watch God move in a mighty way.
